explorer

Lydia is quite the explorer these days. As her grandma said...it's her full time job. Patrick and I got out and enjoyed the amazing weather on Monday. We went to a local park and walked around some of the trails. We stopped for a break and let Lydia do her job. I haven't really set her down in a pile of dirt and leaves and let her play before so I think this was her first. It was her goal to pick up every leaf and tear it to pieces.

After walking some of the trails we went up to the "dog hill." We used to take our dog up there. Do you remember Kirby (caution if you clink on that link, you may not be able to leave that page...you'll be addicted to the cuteness)? Well now that we don't have a dog, we take Lydia up to dog hill and watch all the other dogs. Lydia is still somewhat apprehensive around dogs. None of these really came too close so she was happy watching them. In the picture on the right she started crawling after them (going down hill). You can see her right leg coming up...this was right before she flipped over and rolled down just a little. She stopped and just laid there looking a little confused. Crawling downhill is a little harder than on flat surfaces.

thankful for the smallness of my phone and it's ability to even take pictures...too bad the quality isn't the best.

  1. It's really neat to watch babies get bigger and discover new things. I don't know you in person, but it's been fun watching your little one get bigger!
