I didn't just do that... did I ?

This week

I didn't have to drain the watter off my noodles into my bathroom sink.

After tiring from walking to the bathroom to use the sink, I didn't put tuperware down under the leaky sink to catch all the drippings and continue to wash dishes like nothing was wrong.

I also didn't wake up to drywall dust all over my floor. Spank my dog for it, and then realize it had been my purse that hit the wall and caused the pre-existing bubble to crumble and leave dry wall scattered on the floor.

I didn't risk my life by balancing on this rickety old ladder as it wobbled in the tub so I could paint the rest of our bathroom.

And because I am a responsible citizen and care for the children playing in local parks, I did not let Kirby poop in the park and not pick it up. (I know thats terrible)

Last but not least, I didn't have to explain to someone (cough, Diane) that "wally world" is simply another term for WalMart:)

Did I really do those things?

If only I had known...

Why didn't I think about how much Kirby would shed before we got him? Oh yeah I was too distracted by how cute he was (and still is).
Would you believe me if I told you I just swept not even two full days ago and this is how much hair I just swept off our floors?? Too bad there isn't locks for love for dogs. Kirby has a LOT of love to share.

Family

There is something about family that I love. Maybe it has to do with growing up as the youngest of five kids? Some people would think that being 2 hrs away from all your family is really close, but thats too far for me. I miss the days of going to the store with my mom or sisters or even just all being together in the same house at one time. Now with 4 of the 5 being married and 5 grandkids thrown into the mix, it can be tough to get good quality time with everyone. And so when Mom throws the idea out there to drive down to Bowling Green for even just 3 hrs of visiting, I'm in!
Saturday I drove down to my home town, met up with my mom, sister and 2 of her kids and drove down to Bowling Green with them to visit our other sister and her kid. We hung out at the mall for 3 hrs and then headed back home. Although it was way to short, it was good to even have the time we did.
