Not Me! Monday

This is a post created by mckmama as a way to fess up on things we totally did not do. A place to be brutally honest and realize that we are all human. So for my first time ever "Not Me! ing"...

I did not have to push and push myself just to run one mile. I am not that out of shape.

I am not just writing a not me at ten o' clock at night.

I did not nag and nag my husband about speeding this weekend to only have him tell me that I was "not" going WAY over the speed limit on a highly patrolled road.

I did not give my sister a birthday letter written on a Heine Brothers Coffee napkin because I was so bored and had nothing else to do.

I am not about to go to bed after working out and totally ignore showering until the morning... that's gross I would never do that.

True Church Conference

This last weekend Patrick and I went down to Muscle Shoals, AL for the True Chruch Conference. We had gone to this same conference two years ago with our church down in Bowling Green, KY and really enjoyed it. The focus for this year was repentance and although I thought some of the talks were good and encouraging, I thought others were just soso.

Things I did enjoy:

~Getting away with my husband. We both needed to get away from school and work. It was like we were on our honeymoon again.

~It was great to see so many of my friends from college. Since moving away from Bowling Green in May of 08 I haven't been able to spend as much time with them as I'd like. They all crack me up and I love getting to hear how their lives are.

~Voddie Baucham spoke on brokenness over sin. During this he read a passage from Revelation that made me realize just how mightty God is and wow did I feel small. It magnified God to me and put me and my insignificant problems into perspective

"Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. HE is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure were following him on white horses. From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords." Rev 19:11-16

First Post

I have been contemplating starting a blog for the last few months and now I've finally done it! I want this to serve as a journal of my life. I hope to write about marriage, family, my walk with Christ and just everyday life.
