14 weeks and counting PUKING

Today I am 14 weeks pregnant! I'm very thankful for this blessing of life, but am not so much loving all the side effects:) I've had a few good weeks here and there that have made me hopeful that I was at the end of the morning sickness stage. Then I get sick again. This has been the case for the last few weeks. I got sick May 24th, 26th, and 28th. I had an entire week of no vomiting. Sunday night the toliet welcomed me back. Along with Monday afternoon and Monday evening.

I really don't want to be the complainer. I do though want to journal this sickness stage just so I can compare any pregnancies in the future.

Patrick and I have been well. He is studying and working ahead for a few summer courses while also enjoying some free time by watching the NBA finals with friends and working out. My schedule has not changed very much for the summer. I am starting to go to a book study through the women's ministry at church this evening. I'm excited to get to know some of the ladies at our church better. We will be reading Noel Piper's "Faithful Women and Their Extraordinary God." I read this last year and enjoyed it.

We are entering a busy season of Weddings. Our coming weekends are filled with them.

Hope everyone is having a happy TUESDAY!

  1. The puking should end soon and you'll be back to counting! Are you leading the book study? I've never heard of that book before. I'm having a happy Tuesday, especially after discovering this allergy syndrome. Wunderbar!

  2. Hey! So sorry you're still not feeling the greatest - trust me, it is SO worth every bit of it!! :)
I love the book - I remember you gave it to me on my last day at CUB! Thanks so much for it, I really enjoyed reading it!

  3. "I am starting a book study through the women's ministry at work this evening"
work? this must be a pregnancy brain slip up =)

  4. Hang in there!! My nausea got steadily worse in the second trimester (all day, puking daily, sometimes non-stop all day...) but then went TOTALLY AWAY at about 5 1/2 months. Don't think about "how much longer will this last!?" because that will just depress you, because really, there's no telling... I found it most helpful to say "Lord, thank you for THIS day-- help me get through it with a thankful heart!" And He always did. There is always grace sufficient to the day. And you'll forget this-- I already have; I just know it happened...don't remember how it felt. Awesome, huh?
