My heart is filled with thankfulness
To Him who bore my pain;
Who plumbed the depths of my disgrace
And gave me life again;
Who crushed my curse of sinfulness
And clothed me in His light
And wrote His law of righteousness
With pow'r upon my heart.

My heart is filled with thankfulness
To Him who walks beside;
Who floods my weaknesses with strength
And causes fears to fly;
Whose ev'ry promise is enough
For ev'ry step I take,
Sustaining me with arms of love
And crowning me with grace.

My heart is filled with thankfulness
To him who reigns above,
Whose wisdom is my perfect peace,
Whose ev'ry thought is love.
For ev'ry day I have on earth
Is given by the King;
So I will give my life, my all,
To love and follow him.

(written by Stuart Townsend... I think)

These words just flooded my mind and thankfulness really did flood my heart.

How comforting it is to know that he bore our pain on the cross. He gave us life anew. He crushed the ultimate pain of sin and death. He floods my weaknesses with strength. He causes fears of the future and unknown to FLY. He is constantly sustaining us with His strong STRONG arms of LOVE.
What a comfort to know HE REIGNS above!!! Every day I have on earth is given by the King.

Please Lord, help me to give my life and my all to love and follow you!

**update on Diane, my mother-in-law: She is doing so good! Every day we are seeing more and more of the Diane we know come back. Her physical strength is coming back and its so sweet to see. They have recently started capping her trach so that she is able to speak. What a joy it is to hear her voice. Today Patrick walked into the hospital room to see his mom sitting up in her wheelchair and greet him with a friendly, "Hi Patrick." How sweet it is to hear her talk. We praise our great God for bringing her to this point. We are so encouraged by her progress. We realize still that this is a journey. She is still healing and having to relearn things. Please continue to pray that those parts of her brain damaged by her fall would heal. Pray that in these coming days when Diane is tempted to be frustrated in not understanding or being able to effectively communicate like she'd like to, that she would experience HIS wisdom as her PERFECT peace. Pray that we would all trust him for our daily strength. That we would not insist on our own ways but humbly submit ourselves to the Lords loving plan.
