a little late halloween post

We celebrated halloween twice. A few weeks before we took Lydia and Kesid to the zoo. I was kind of worried about Lydia dressing up (because any time I've tried to put a dress-up dress on her she cries) but she did great!

I found a hot dog costume (size 0-6 mo) at a local consignment shop. After a little altering it was perfect for our size 24 mo girl! And it was perfect because Lyds best bud was going as a hamburger! Lydia loved loved loved dressing up as a hot dog! For days afterward she would ask for it and would even stuff her baby dolls into the costume to make them dress up as hotdogs!

I also may have bribed Lydia into getting her costume on by giving her candycorn. Hotdog costume = candy corn! This could have had something to do with her loving to dress up :)

So for our first halloween celebration of 2012 we met our friends at the zoo and had pizza.

On actual halloween night we had family in town. Dan and Ashley were visiting from OR and we loved getting to go trick or treating for the first time with our cousins!

Kesid wore Lydia's costume from last year (Lydia was 10 months when she wore it and Kesid was 5....Kes is a chunk!)

sisters

I took these pictures a few weeks back. Lydia and Kes were in our room and Lydia just wanted to hold Kesid. Once holding her she insisted that I take a picture. So I took 20.

I am so thankful for our girls. Thankful for the sisters they are and will be to each other. I grew up with sisters and loved it! I pray they will always be close and pray that they come to know the Lord and can spur one another on to faith and good deeds!

Lydia is getting to an age where she is wanting someone to play with her. She LOVES older kids. LOVES them. I have noticed her a few times realizing that Kesid is more playable now. She's not just the baby who sleeps all the time or is in the bouncy... She moves. She tries to take her toys. She gets in her way. She can PLAY!

Kesid isn't quite ready to play like Lydia wants but she's definitely willing to play. She loves her older sister. She will pretty much let Lydia roll all over her and just gives constant smiles. Lydia squeezes Kes and Kesid just takes it.

I'm really looking forward to watching their relationship grow.

Love these girls!

pearman family photos

Last weekend I had the sweet pleasure of taking family pictures for this family. I grew up with the mom and dad and have loved seeing how the Lord has grown their family. C and S are super cute kids. Thanks Steph and Nate!

kesid: 4 months

Although it feels like she has always been here, Kesid is now 4 months old. She is really coming into her own little personality. She is sweet and cuddly and makes the cutest squeals and squawks. This girl can give a belly laugh if you really get her going (which her Aunt Anna is best at). We love having her around!

She is still a very content baby. This last month she has improved on going down for naps by herself. She may cry for about 5 minutes but eventually calms herself down and will fall asleep. She is mostly sleeping through the night but will wake up every once in a while around 5am or so. I hope to get her on a more defined schedule this month. Right now this is what her day looks like:
7:30 wake up and nurse. play for about an hour or hour and a half.
9:00-10:30 Nap
10:30 nurse. play for around an hour
12:00-1:30 Nap
1:30 nurse. play for around an hour (you catching onto our pattern yet?)
2:30-4:00 Nap
4:00 Nurse (I start cluster feeding in the evening...trying to fill up her tank so she'll sleep through the night)
6:30 Nurse
7:30 Nap
8:30 Nurse and then go down for bed
10:30 dream feed and right back to bed

I think Kesid is about to find her feet and she may be getting close to crawling. She rolls every once in a while from back to stomach but rolls stomach to back pretty regularly. When on her belly she will turn in complete circles and even scoot herself totally off her blanket.

I'm not sure how much she weighs because we haven't gone in for her 4 month check up. We go in a week or so. She is growing like a weed though. She is in 3-6 months clothes still but may be about to grow out of some of those sleepers. She sure is long!

I love how she will smile at you from across the room now. She is becoming lots more alert and interactive with us.

Kes, I'm loving every single snuggle!

4 years of marriage

I love Patrick Schreiner! Lucky me- I've been blessed to spend the last four years with him.

We've had two children. Lived in three places and had 6 jobs between us. Fun times and tougher times.

All in all I have loved it all. Thankful for this godly man. Love seeing him be our girls daddy. He loves them so well!

Tonight we celebrated by going to bonefish grill. We then went to incredible dave's to play arcade games.

Happy four PJS! I love you!!!
