Best wrapped present ever... award goes to Patrick!Funniest present I've ever received. Giver of gift: my mother-in-law
Favorite thing I've sewn so far... tree of life pillow for my grandma. She turned 75 on the 15th of dec. There is a leaf for each of her kids, their spouses, kids and grandkids and their spouses...

Goodbye Apartment :(

When I was thirteen my parents decided to move from the only house I had known. This was horrifying to me. WHAT!?!? how can we leave this place where all my memories are? I sat on the floor and cried and said I'd move in with whoever decided to buy the house from my parents... I came with the house:). I'm not sure what has happened but over the last 8 years I have slowly grown more accustomed to change. Saying goodbye to our first home wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I didn't cry. Well I cried... but only because of stress and probably hormones. But I didn't cry because we were moving. I did take pictures though.

I will always love the apartment on Glenmary!! I was seriously in the best neighborhood ever.

This isn't an apartment pic... but it was in the same album. This is a pic from my Christmas dinner with the girls from work.

Catching Up

I'm sitting at a coffee house drinking hot apple cider and taking advantage of free internet. Patrick and I finally moved in the day after Christmas!!! I love our house. It is great. We finally have finished hanging everything up and have for the most part found a home for every item in our new home.

Over the next few minutes I'm going to attack this blog with a ton of pictures. Why? Because I want to keep track of my lifes happenings with pictures. And tomorrow we leave for 2 weeks on a trip to Africa. When we return, I'll have another overload of pictures to put up and comment on. Please pray for safe travel and that the Lord would be glorified in our trip. That the believers over there would be refreshed and encouraged and that many others would come to trust in Christ.

The overload begins.

It's been a while

This has been a busy last couple of weeks. We were able to close on our home Wednesday the 9th and got to work right away! My parents have been up a lot and have helped tremendously, along with some sibling visits and help:) So far, we have painted the kitchen, dining room, and living room, have framed in a new closet and hung dry wall, and started laying new tile in the bathroom.

We still have work to do but are hoping to be in by Saturday or Sunday. My Dad keeps telling me thats being very aggressive, but I am really hoping it works out. I don't want to pay for any extra days of rent and I REALLY want to be in before Christmas so I can decorate!

Funny story. My sis and her husband came up on Saturday and brought their precious baby boy. They arrived shortly after noon, Bekah and I both had a(for me not so much for her) strange craving for coke. So we hopped in the car and headed off for McDonalds. I was driving Patrick's car (A STICK SHIFT). This lead to all kinds of stalling and jerking into first gear at lots of stop lights. As I pull in to Mc D's I cringe to see that the parking spots on a slight incline. Although I was nervous about it, I put the car in neutral pulled up the emergency brake and got out to walk in to get that coke. After a few honks, my sis and I turn around to see Patrick's car rolling back toward us!!! Guess you are supposed to put the car in gear on a hill, pull up the E-brake and then turn off the car. Now I know! Thanks kind citizen who honked!

Pictures will be coming as soon as I remember to take them:)
