Snow Snow Snow

We've gotten a LOT of snow lately. Last week we had a day where we got 5-6 inches, the week before that a day with 3 inches and today probably 6 inches. I like snow, but I'm pretty ready for warm weather! I'm tired of my toes always being COLD.

Kirby, he likes the snow!

Update on the hand... its doing better. This picture is actually from a few days ago.

This is why Patrick cut his hand, our stinking dishwasher. I finally got the bottom plate off and this is what I found. Kirby's food from who knows when that was stuck and now is all moldy and soggy and all together disgusting. I think Patrick was thankful for his stitches when I got to clean his out instead of him. (by the way, I have no idea why there is a plastic hanger underneath our dishwasher)Ewww Ewww Ewwwww. Yuck do you see that mold??

Kirby demolished his old bed, so I made him a new one... its a little small but it works as a good pillow if he curls up really tight. Looking in to the dinning room from our bedroomDresser and windows
Bed
Here is our newest addition to our bedroom. Shelves. Because our bed is on an angle, its hard to have a night stand. Shelves were a great solution. Whoever thought of them was/is a genius.

First ER experience

Patrick and I went to the ER together for the first time last night. He was trying to open a package of tools with a knife and stabbed his hand. Blood was dripping so I took him to the kitchen sink to rinse it off. Patrick is not good with giving blood or loosing blood. He lost all his color and told me he felt like he was going to pass out. So I fed him fruit snacks and orange juice. I couldn't tell if it was bad enough to get stitches so I called our neighbors to get their opinion. Once they agreed, we took off to the ER. Enjoy our experience through pictures taken with my phone camera.

Here Patrick is in the waiting room.
The wound.
Washing off with salt water to help with infection. Once the doctor started to sew him up, he had a hard time getting the needle through Patrick's skin. He kept asking Patrick if he was loaded up on viatmins. I got really hot at this point and started feeling wheezy yet I still wanted to see what was going on. Patrick has strong skin, I have weak stomach.
Three stitches and we're ready to go.
To Steak'n Shake!!! Frisco melts made Patrick feel better.

Here is the silly tool set he was trying to open with that retarded swiss army knife.
Lesson learned:)

oh and we only spent 1 1/2 hrs at the hospital... I thought that was pretty good.

More of the Sam Man

He's simply too cute and too far away to hold. So... I'll put up more pictures to stare at. I really can't wait to meet him and am super pumped that his mommy and daddy and him will be moving near us soon!!!!
Sunday at church our friends were standing nearby with their 1 year old little boy. Patrick leans over to me and says "I can't wait till Sam is that age, it'll be so fun". Sam, we are excited to watch you grow up and know that it will be fun when you are 1 and 2 (well maybe not so much at this age) but 3 and 4 and all the other years. But for now stay little.
