I was 17 weeks yesterday.
I've been feeling the baby move a lot today. This is really neat and makes me oh so happy.
My calves and feet have been on the verge of cramping for like the last 3 days now. Thankfully no real charlie horses yet.
My face does not have a glow. It has many bumps.
On the sick note, I got sick Friday and Saturday.
Patrick and I are going to a concert tonight on the waterfront. It's a beautiful day!
Patrick likes the name Nadia for a girl. He told me to think about it. My immediate response is/was NO. I feel like if we named our kid Nadia her name would stand out weird from all our other kids names. I mean the names I tend to like are: Noah, Abigail, Canaan, Ruth, James, Isaac... Nadia (sounds weird huh).
p.s. you better agree with me! this is my blog and I'm pregnant!

Happy 50th Mom!
June 30th 1960 my momma was born. I think she's the best looking 50 year old I've ever seen. Saturday all the family got together to surprise her with dinner. All her children and their spouses and children were there along with her mom. Dinner was great, but getting to be with all my family to celebrate our great mom and her life was even better. I've written before of how much my mom has taught me. I am thankful for her faithful life as a godly wife, mom, and grandmother.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!

Dispicable Me
I know that is the name of a movie coming out, but today its how I feel about myself.
I say this with a little bit of jest, but also kind of truthfully:) Here's why.
Lately I have been extremely anxious to find out what this little baby inside of me is. BOY OR GIRL??? I really want to know. Every time some one asks me how far along I am I pretty much know that the next question is "Do you know what you're having?"
I think the closer I get to finding out the more and more anxious I will be. It's not like I'm losing sleep over this or anything, I just want to find out SOON because I want to start thinking of names and making baby stuff and trying to think of a way to decorate the nursery.
A few girls at church have mentioned that they were able to get free ultrasounds at the local crisis pregnancy center and found out early the gender of their baby. I have been told that they occasionally need pregnant women to practice the ultrasounds on. (I don't know maybe for training newbies or something) So I thought I'd give it a shot. Thankfully I called first.
When I called the lady who answered said she had never heard of them doing "practice" ultrasounds. She said that if I needed to come in and have a free pregancy test I could do that and then if there was any question as to how far along I was, they'd do an ultrasound. I thanked her and said I had just been curious and that was all.
She then probably thought I was some middle school girl who got pregnant by her boyfriend and was afraid to tell people and was now just backing out of it. She proceeded to ask me if I knew that I was pregnant and if so how far along. I told her I was 16 1/2 weeks. She then asked if I had a Dr. I do. She asked if I had any reason to believe there was something wrong with the pregnancy.... I felt awful at this point and just wanted to tell her "No I have a good dr. I'm sure I'm pregnant and have no reason to believe anything is abnormal with my pregnancy. I just wanted to use your great services to find out a little early what the gender of my baby is. I know I'm dispicable. I'm sorry. I'll never do it again. I'll wait another month and just find out at my dr apt."
On a happier note, I have been feeling the baby more:)

Bath Time
Postage
Where I work, I open a lot of mail. I always try to find fun stamps to cut off for one of my coworker's kid. I randomly come across Christmas postage and it makes me smile. I get all excited when I think of Christmas time and us having a newborn around.
P.S.
I was 16 weeks yesterday!
We went and saw Toy Story 3 yesterday. Very cute! I almost cried. The theater's sound was messed up though and the music would drag when it got slow. This made it a little harder to get emotional at the right parts because the music sounded so awful. Patrick and I couldn't keep from laughing.

Gibson Wedding
Here's a taste from this weekend. I had a good time shooting their wedding. Not going to lie, it was a little stressful. In the end I think they turned out ok. Ryan and Tori were very relaxed and fun to shoot. After looking at all the ones I've uploaded, I've realized Ryan is in very few of these, sorry Ryan, your bride is prettier than you.
